About Us

Founded by Kim and Cindy Ansley, a design-build duo, Impact Renovations Canmore specializes in custom home renovations, remodels, and commercial improvements. With in-house design and construction capabilities, our creativity lies in finding solutions that maximize space, enhance flow, and elevate aesthetics. Whether you leave the entire renovation to us or bring your own designer, we ensure a well-coordinated project and a home that not only looks stunning but feels effortless to live in.

Kim Ansley

Owner / Red Seal Carpenter / General Contractor
Kim began his Journeyman Apprenticeship in 1990 under the guidance of CANA while working on the Convention Centre at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. He then continued his apprenticeship with PCL at the Rimrock Hotel in Banff. After four years of working on large-scale projects, he shifted to working with a highly respected local renovator who trusted Kim to manage a multi-million-dollar contract for the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. This project exemplified his organization and management skills.
In 2000, Kim started his own renovation company, managing an assortment of residential and commercial projects all across Western Canada. These projects ranged from luxury home renovations, kitchen and bathroom remodels, and home additions to retail stores, restaurants, medical offices, and hotels.
Cindy Ansley

Owner / Interior Designer / Office Manager
Cindy spent her childhood rearranging her three pieces of furniture in her small bedroom. Always looking for ways to make life more beautiful, interior design was a calling. Cindy founded Impact Renovations with Kim and worked as the behind-the-scenes manager looking after all things business.
Clients started to ask for help with design decisions and Cindy decided it was time to learn more. In 2010, she started studying Interior Design at Bow Valley College, Mount Royal University, and SAIT. She continues to do workshops and learn from leading industry experts. Friends and family lent their trust to have Cindy design their interior spaces and were her first clients. Since then, her reputation has grown as one of Canmore’s sought-after local designers. You can still find her managing the day-to-day business of Impact Renovations as well. She now has five pieces of bedroom furniture that do not require rearranging.

In the fall of 2005 Stonewaters moved into the old Marra’s Grocery building on Main street of Canmore.
